Why are Mystic Stamp prices higher than the values listed in the Scott Catalog?

Mystic's prices are often higher or lower than the prices given in reference material such as Scott's.  Since Scott is only a publishing company and does not sell stamps, their prices are only intended to be a general reflection not actual prices.
