Ukraine War Coin Thanks the World For Its Support

On July 11, 2022, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) issued "In Unity, Strength" commemorative coins.  The design on the front of the coin includes images of flags from around the world, honoring the outpouring of support Ukraine received upon its invasion by Russia on February 24, 2022.  (Flags pictured belong to the United States, United Kingdom, Poland, Canada, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Italy, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Japan, the countries providing the most support to Ukraine in their war effort.)  The design on the reverse side of the coin includes pairs of hands clasped together in friendship with the coat of arms of Ukraine in the center, representing the monetary, humanitarian, and other forms of aid given to Ukraine by countries across the globe.

When you order today, you'll receive an encapsulated coin on card with the name of the coin on the front (in both English and Ukrainian) and facts and history about the coin and its connection to Ukraine on the back (also in English and Ukrainian).  The back reads:

"The desire for freedom is a fundamental value of the Ukrainian people.  For many centuries, we have fought to protect our freedom and territorial integrity... After Russia unleashed its treacherous invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, the people of Ukraine repelled it in a decisive counteroffensive that thwarted the aggressor's advance and assured the continued free development of the countries and peoples of Europe.  Amazed and inspired by the bravery of the Ukrainians, the entire free world sided with Ukraine, providing it with military, financial, and humanitarian aid.  'Ukraine, Europe, and the whole of the free world are on their way to a shared victory,' President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi said in his speech during an international donors' conference in Warsaw on 5 May 2022."

The face value of this coin is 5 hryvnias, it measures 35 mm across (about 1.37 inches), and it was designed by Alina Maliuta, Serhii Topkin, and Sviatoslav Ivanenko.  Like some of the postage stamp designs of 2022, Ukraine held an open vote to decide the design of this coin.  The card the coin is on includes the now famous colors of the flag of Ukraine – yellow and blue.  Only 250,000 were made, and there are sure to be many more people around the world than that who want to get their hands on one.  Get yours now to be sure you're one of them.
