There are plenty of fun-loving characters who live on Sesame Street, but one of the most lively is Elmo.  He brings joy to any situation and is always looking for new ways to have a good time. Elmo is a 3 1/2-year-old monster with a distinctively cheerful voice and a contagious giggle.  He is enthusiastic, friendly, and curious.  Elmo loves to explore new things and be a part of everything that happens on Sesame Street.  However, like most preschoolers, he sometimes does not have all the skills or knowledge he needs.  But that never stops him!  Elmo always maintains an optimistic view of himself and life. Like a good monster, Elmo tries to do the right thing in every situation, and encourages his friends to do the same.  Some of Elmo's best friends are Zoe, Abby Cadabby, and his pet goldfish, Dorothy, but he is always ready to meet new people.  Elmo's favorite hobbies are dancing, singing, and riding his tricycle.  He also loves books and using his imagination to make up stories. Over time, Elmo has become one of the most beloved characters on Sesame Street.  He is often the one to green celebrity guests, lead everyone in song, or introduce new friends to the neighborhood.  When Elmo is around, it is sure to be a happy day for all.
