Own Presidential Series 1939 Reprints
The 1938 Presidential Series – affectionately nicknamed the “Prexies” by collectors – was very popular at the time of its issue and remains so today.  The 1939 reprints honor George and Martha Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, James Monroe, John Quincy Adams, John Tyler, and the White House.
The two differences between these stamps and the Prexies is that these are coil stamps and they have different perforations.  While the previous series was perforated 11x10 ½, the stamps of 1939 were perforated 10, some vertically and some horizontally.  Add these 13 patriotic stamps to your collection today.
