1965 Johnson Inaugural Cover Inaugural Covers are those that are canceled on the same day a President is sworn into office.  Many early Inauguration Covers have a standard black bar cancel.  Covers issued more recently often have pictorial cancels or may simply say, “Inauguration Day.”
