1997 Clinton Inaugural Cover
Inaugural Covers are those that are canceled on the same day a President is sworn into office. Many early Inauguration Covers have a standard black bar cancel. Covers issued more recently often have pictorial cancels or may simply say, “Inauguration Day.” This cover is particularly interesting because it was cancelled in President Clinton's hometown of Hope, Arkansas.
