This Colorano Silk Cover commemorates the May 22, 2012, launch of the Falcon 9 rocket produced by privates space comapny Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX). The rocket carred the Dragon spacecraft. Working in cooperation with NASA, the Dragon was part of the Commerical Obital Transportation Services program to resupply the International Space Station. Dragon was the first commercial spacecraft to redezvou with the space station and was captured by the space station's mechanical arm and berthed to the station. During its six-day stay, cargo was unloaded from the spacecraft and cargo from the space station was reloaded. The Dragon returned to Earth and landed in the Pacific Ocean. This successful flight resulted in regular cargo deliveries by the Falcon 9-Dragon system to the space station.
