Keep Your United Nations Stamp Collection Up to Date
This Mother Teresa stamp was issued by the New York Office of the United Nations in 2021. It features a quote from her which reads, "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." Mother Teresa of Calcutta spent over 45 years of her life ministering to the poor, sick, orphaned, and dying. She began in India but later traveled to other countries, as well. She received many awards and distinctions for her work, most notably the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 "for work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitute a threat to peace." She was the founder of the order of Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta, which she established in 1950 and still helps the poor and dying in the city to this day.
