Natural History (#1387-90) – Issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Museum of Natural History. This museum – the largest of its kind in the entire world – had grown to occupy 18 buildings by 1970.
Woman Suffrage (#1406) – On August 26, 1920, Congress approved the 19th amendment to the United States Constitution. This amendment, which climaxed a lengthy campaign by Susan B. Anthony and others, gave women the right to vote.
Stone Mountain Memorial (#1408) – Located near Atlanta, Georgia, Stone Mountain Memorial pays tribute to Civil War heroes of the Confederacy – Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, and Stonewall Jackson. At 650 feet high – 20 feet higher than Mt. Rushmore – Stone Mountain Memorial is one of the largest sculptures in the world.
United Nations (#1419) – Founded on October 24, 1945, the United Nations is an international organization dedicated to maintaining international peace and security, and developing friendly relations between nations.
Landing of the Pilgrims (#1420) – In 1620, a group of English separatists landed at Plymouth, Massachusetts. The success of Plymouth Colony proved that man could live and prosper in New England.

The Disabled American Veterans stamp honors servicemen living and dead, and celebrates the organization, which serves approximately 1.5 million disabled veterans and their families.
