Save on Big Collection of Scarce Mint Tax Paid Stamps

Now it’s easy to own hundreds of seldom-seen Tax Paid U.S. Revenue stamps and save over $38 off our regular price!  This is the largest collection of its kind Mystic has seen and we’re offering it at the best price.  (A dealer friend of mine is selling smaller collections for the same price.)  Besides big savings, these stamps also come with a neat story...

Tax Paids were among the large stock of Revenue stamps locked away for decades in the vaults of the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.  The stamps were auctioned off in 2006, and we jumped at the chance to purchase these unusual treasures for you.  Most collectors didn’t know the stamps existed.  (They aren’t even listed in the Scott Specialized Catalogue.)  The late Sherwood Springer, a Revenue stamp expert, classified them in his catalogs.

Tax Paid Revenue stamps have a history that goes back to the Civil War.  They were affixed to containers of tobacco products and were divided into classes based on the tobacco’s quality.  Each class was taxed according to weight (for tobacco and snuff) or quantity (for cigars and cigarettes).  Tax Paid stamps were issued for most of the next century.  Here’s your chance to be a part of that history - order now.
