Limited-Edition 5-Stamp Fleetwood Proofcard Features Australian Antarctic Territory "Ships of Discovery" Series

Now you can get all five stamps in the Australian Antarctic "Ships of Discovery" series on a striking proofcard featuring artwork by stamp designer Ray Honisett.  Each stamp pictures a different ship known for its exploration of Antarctica's frigid waters:  the RRS Discovery II, MV Thala Dan, SS Endurance, SS Fram, and SY Discovery.  These stamps were canceled on August 29, 1979 in Melbourne, Australia.  The cachet is an original painting by Ray Honisett of the ship he traveled to Antarctica on, the Nella Dan.
