With Mint Cathedral Stamps
This mint Palau souvenir sheet of two stamps pictures three of Russia's famous cathedral – St. Basil's, Peter and Paul, and Saint Sophia. St. Basil's is located in Red Square in Moscow and has served as the central point of the city's growth since the 14th century. It was built to resemble a bonfire rising upward.
The Peter and Paul Cathedral is St. Petersburg's oldest landmark, dating back to 1712. It includes the world's tallest Orthodox bell tower. Saint Sophia Cathedral is also the oldest building in the city of Vologda, with its construction starting in 1568. It was built under the close supervision of Tsar Ivan the Terrible.
