Big Instant Germany Collection!
This collection is a great way to treat yourself to a lot of stamp-collecting fun!
The selection I looked at contained postally used stamps from the 1960s through the 1990s.  Several of the stamps were issued before reunification in 1990.  So they document the historic transition from a Cold-War-era Germany to the modern united nation.  I was impressed by the variety of historic subjects, interesting culture, beautiful art and more.  One 1992 stamp I found honors Ferdinand Von Zeppelin, who developed the famous rigid dirigible airships.  Neat!
Germany stamps are very attractive and very high quality.  You’ll love examining them in person.

On July 1, 1847, the first US postage stamps went on sale.  The 5¢ issue of 1847 (US #1) features a portrait of Benjamin Franklin, the man responsible for organizing America's postal service back in the 1700s.  Postal clerks used scissors to cut the stamps from sheets, as perforations weren't in use yet.  Today, US #1 is a valued piece of American postal history and a lucky find in any condition.
