Mint Stamps Honor Disney Classic:
Alice in Wonderland
Based on the book by Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland was Disney's 13th full-length animated feature. Walt Disney had read the books as a child and had wanted to do an Alice movie for years. In fact, he considered making an animated-live-action film of Alice in 1932, but made Snow White instead. Walt registered the title a few years later and re-worked the project for several years before it was finally realized and released in 1951.
Now you can own this fun set of seven 1980 Maldives stamps picturing scenes from the film. They picture Alice, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee, and Tweedledum. A great addition to your collection – order now.
