Mickey and Minnie visit the Golden Gate Bridge
In 1991 Bhutan issued several souvenir sheets picturing Mickey and his pals exploring some of the world's wonders. The sheet offered here pictures Mickey and Minnie on a boat ride near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California. Construction on the bridge, which connects San Francisco to Marin County, lasted from 1933 to 1937. From its opening until 1964, it had the longest suspension bridge main span in the world (at 4,200 feet).
