Issued in 1998, this fun set of 20 mint Gambia stamps captures characters and scenes from Disney's 36th animated feature film, Mulan.  Released in 1998, the film was based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, a young woman who took her father's place in the army at a time when women were not allowed to serve.  Disney sent several of their artistic supervisors to China to gain artistic and cultural inspiration for the film.
