The European headquarters of the U.N. is in the Palace of Nations (Palais des Nations) in Geneva, Switzerland. From 1920 until 1946 the Palace served as headquarters for the League of Nations. In addition to the U.N., the Red Cross, World Council of Churches, and many other organizations now have headquarters there.
