This issue is devoted to the tenth and last group of fifteen stamps depicting the flags of Member States of the U.N.  The sixteenth stamp in the group depicts the flag of the United Nations itself.  This unique series of stamps was launched in 1980 to honor the Member States of the United Nations.  The series has afforded the public an opportunity to enjoy the colorful and varied designs on the flags flying outside the United Nations Headquarters.  These stamps are true miniaturized versions of the flags, faithfully reproducing not only the colors and designs, but also the flags’ true proportions.
