In 2005, the United Nations Postal Administration released the second set of a three-year series of issues to commemorate September 21, the International Day of Peace.
Each year, the Lions Clubs International sponsors a worldwide peace poster contest for children from 11 to 13 years old. The aim is to give children a chance to think about world peace and to express what it means to them. The theme for this year was “Create a Brighter Tomorrow.”
