Fun Historical Information: The US Post Office called any contracted airmail route that entered a foreign country from the US (or vise versa) a "Foreign Air Mail" or "FAM" route. FAM-5 was manned by Pan American Airways and traveled between Miami, Florida and Cristobal, Panama. Charles Lindbergh was a pilot in the early days of the route, along with RJ Merritt in his Sikorsky S-38A.
