This $2 U.S. Capitol stamp is part of a souvenir sheet that features reprints of the three highest denominations of the Series of 1922-25 flat plate printing. The stamps were printed using the original dies created in 1923 by the engravers at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The souvenir sheet was released at the 2006 World Philatelic Exhibition in Washington, D.C. The international exhibition is held in the U.S. once every ten years.
