Disney Pals in "Little Red Cap"

Issued in 1985, this fun Dominica souvenir sheet features Disney characters in the classic tale, "Little Red Riding Hood."  The story has origins in a number of European countries dating back to the 10th century, under a variety of names, including "the False Grandmother."  There was even an old Oriental version called "Grandaunt Tiger."  French author Charles Perrault was the first to publish the story in writing, in his 1697 Tales of Mother Goose.  Years later, the Brothers Grimm (who are honored on this sheet) published the more well-known version of the story. 

This fun sheet features Daisy Duck as Red Riding Hood and Donald Duck as the huntsman.
