Issued in 1981, this fun mint Grenada stamp was issued to honor Pluto's 50th anniversary.  It pictures Pluto with his bone-shaped birthday cake. 

An early version of Pluto first appeared in The Chain Gang in 1930.  He was then named Rover in the Picnic (1930), and finally received his current name in The Moose Hunt (1931).  After appearing in 24 Mickey Mouse films, Pluto got his own series in 1937.
