This fun Grenada souvenir sheet was issued to mark the 1997 Hong Kong Stamp Exhibition.  It pictures Mickey pulling Minnie in a rickshaw.  Believed to have been invented in Japan in 1869, the first rickshaws appeared in China in 1873.  By the following year there 10,000 rickshaws providing China with public transportation.  Though their use declined in the 1920s, today China offers automated and pedal-powered rickshaws for people traveling short distances.
