1994 Christmas First Day Cover Set
This Fleetwood First Day Cover set includes four covers with stamps issued for the 1994 Christmas season.
Since the first Christmas stamps were issued in November 1962, the Postal Service has spread holiday cheer through these special issues. Four 1994 stamps – a 29¢ Christmas Stocking, Santa, Cardinal in Snow, and Virgin and Child by Sirani – follow in this grand tradition.
The contemporary Christmas stamps were released on October 20, 1994, in Harmony, Minnesota. The traditional stamp was issued in Washington, D.C. on the same day.
Fleetwood First Day Covers have cachets (designs) that are full-color works of original art and feature interesting information about the stamp subject on the back.
