WWI Silver Dollar
The details of this coin salute the 4.7 million Americans who fought for democracy 100 years ago. "Soldiers Charge" is the design on the front of the coin, with "Poppies in the Wire" pictured on the back. Each side features iconic symbols of WWI: the barbed wire of trench warfare, a fearless soldier, and memorial poppies. It was minted in Philadelphia and features a "P" mint mark. This design is one of the most striking ever created by the US Mint and was issued in very limited quantities.
WWI Air Service Medal
This medal honors all those who took to the air during World War I. The front design pictures a classic SPAD XIII World War I fighter flown by many American pilots during the war. It was known for its speed, strength, and firepower. This plane is pictured from the top and side on the front of your medal. The back design pictures the Military Aviator Insignia with the words "CENTENNIAL OF WORLD WAR I," "2018," "OVER THERE!," "AIR SERVICE," and "AMERICAN EXPEDITIONARY FORCES." The Air Service Medal was produced at the Denver mint and features a "D" mint mark. It's a great way to commemorate the sacrifices of all Americans who were in the Air Service during World War I.
