The 63rd face-different stamp in the Great Americans series honors U.S. political leader Justin S. Morrill (1810-1898). Morrill is best remembered for creating the Land Grant College Act of 1862, which generated funding for the creation of agricultural and technical colleges.
The 55¢ denomination is needed for three postage rates: the domestic rate for a two-ounce letter, the international rate for a one-ounce letter to Canada, and the international rate for a post card to any nation except Canada or Mexico.
