Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  He is credited with 54 certified gold singles – more than any other recording artist ever!  This coin highlights one of those songs that sold at least 500,000 copies.

Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar.  The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

T-R-O-U-B-L-E

This coin honors Elvis’ hit song “T-R-O-U-B-L-E,” written by Jerry Chesnut.  Elvis recorded the song in March 1975 as a single with “Mr. Songman” on the B-side of the record.  The song went on to reach #11 on the US Hot Country Songs chart and #35 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Songwriter Jerry Chesnut said he was inspired to write the song by singer and pianist Little David Wilkins.  “T-R-O-U-B-L-E” tells the story of a beautiful woman walking into a nightclub and catching the eye of a musician playing there.  The musician praises her, and other women in the club begin to get jealous (causing trouble in the club).
