The United States launched the Presidential $1 Coin Program in 2007. Each coin pictures a former US president, issued in the order they served.

The US Mint issued four Presidential $1 coins per year, each picturing the Statue of Liberty on the reverse side. The size and composition of the Presidential $1 coins is the same as the Sacagawea Golden Dollar and Native American $1 coins.
