This is the 13th set in the UNPA’s series, Endangered Species.  This year’s set highlights orchids.  Laelia milleri, Psygmorchis pusilla, Dendrobium cruentum, and Orchis purpurea are featured on the Offices in Geneva stamps.  Orchis purpurea, or Lady Orchid, is relatively large and grows in northern temperate regions of Europe and Asia.  The main threat to it is the use of fertilizer.
