Climate change affects us all, and in 2019 the United Nations released stamps from each of its three offices to raise awareness.  One of the designs from the Geneva office raises awareness about the dangers of carbon emissions.  One of the main culprits of these emissions is the burning of fossil fuels, especially in the vehicles we drive.  In the United States alone, approximately 30 percent of all global warming emissions come from cars, trucks, planes, trains, ships, and freight transportation.  But it's not too late to reverse this trend.  The use of cleaner fuels – such as those made from plants – instead of gasoline can reduce emissions by 80 percent.  Electricity-powered vehicles produce zero emissions when teh electricity they use comes from a renewable source such as solar, wind, hydropower, or geothermal.
