Boys’ Club Celebrates 100th Anniversary
The first Boys’ Club of America was founded in 1860 in Hartford, Connecticut. Since then, it has expanded to include girls (making it the Boys’ and Girls’ Club in 1990) and has over four million participants. The Club’s mission is “to enable young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible civilians.”
Over the last 150 years, the club has grown to over 4,000 locations.
