Coach Chuck Noll developed quarterback Terry Bradshaw, defensive tackle “Mean” Joe Green, and wide receiver Lynn Swann into future Hall of Fame players. The defensive line was nicknamed the “Steel curtain” and in 1976 allowed an average of three points per game.
