 Cover Honors Norman Rockwell and Horse Racing

This cover is part of the Norman Rockwell Commemorative Cover Collection.   It includes stamp #1874, issued to celebrate the100th anniversary of the Kentucky Derby.  The cachet shows one of Rockwell's paintings, "Weighing In," painted in 1958.  The cover collection was produced in 1978 and postmarked in Stockbridge, Massachusetts, where Rockwell lived and worked for over 20 years.
