This fun 1991 Dominica souvenir sheet features a scene from Disney's wildly popular The Little Mermaid.  Released in 1989, the film was based on Hans Christian Andersen's tale of the same name.  Walt had wanted to make the movie back in the 1930s, but his dream wasn't realized for over 50 years.  The Little Mermaid has been credited with starting the Disney Renaissance, an era of heightened creativity and success for the company.
