The Traditional Christmas issue features the Madonna and Child from a large painting by the Italian Renaissance artist, Giovanni Battista Moroni. Named A Gentleman in Adoration Before the Maddona, the 1560 painting is part of the collection at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC.

This Contemporary stamp, picturing glass ornaments on a pine bough, was the first US stamp to have First Day ceremonies at Disneyland, in Anaheim, California.
