About Hanukkah:
Hanukkah, also known as the Festival of Lights, is an eight-day Jewish holiday that commemorates the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem after the Maccabean Revolt. According to tradition, a small amount of oil miraculously kept the Temple's menorah burning for eight days. The holiday is celebrated by lighting the menorah each night, playing dreidel, and eating foods fried in oil, such as latkes and sufganiyot.
