Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, is celebrated by lighting a special candelabra, the menorah.

Other Hanukkah traditions include singing, chanting blessings, exchanging gifts, and spinning the dreidel in children's games of chance. Dreidels commonly bear a Hebrew letter on each side, the first letters of words which mean "a great miracle happened there (in Israel)".

The new 2004 Hanukkah stamp replaces the Hanukkah stamp design used from 1996 to 2002, which featured a menorah and candles.
