Launched on July 23, 1999, STS-93 was the 26th mission of Columbia.  Eileen Collins was the first female space shuttle commander on this mission.  The primary mission was to launch the Chandra X-ray Observatory.  STS-93 was completed on July 28, when Columbia landed at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
