Produced for the INTERPEX ’91 stamp show in New York City, this limited-edition cover features a pictorial cancellation honoring General George Patton.  Nicknamed “Old Blood and Guts,” Patton was one of the most successful and colorful generals of World War II. Patton was a key leader in the Allied invasion of Africa, and in the victories in France and Germany.  Patton helped thwart the German attack at the Battle of the Bulge, capturing 10,000 miles of territory and liberating the country from Nazi rule.
