Promised Land
The song “Promised Land” was written by Chuck Berry, using the tune of “Wabash Cannonball.” Elvis recorded his version of the song in December 1973, and it was released as a single the following September. The song reached number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 1975, “Promised Land” became the title song for an album. Elvis’s version of this song was part of the soundtrack of the film Men in Black.
