This is your chance to own five mint stamp sheets honoring the heroes, battles, planes, and more of World War I.  Each sheet features reproductions of old photos or colorful artwork that brings World War I history to life.

Set includes a souvenir sheet picturing the iconic Uncle Sam recruiting poster that inspired Americans during World War I.  Another sheet features six dramatic photographs of the people and events of the Great War.  They include an Army recruiting office in London, a French soldier wearing a gas mask at the Battle of Verdun, women working in an ammunition factory, General John J. Pershing, Sergeant Alvin York, and a victory parade in London in 1919.

There’s also a sheet of four Mayreau stamps picturing dramatic photographs of the war's soldiers and their weapons.  These include flamethrowers, tanks, torpedoes, and men with guns in trenches.  The sheet of four Guyana stamps features dramatic photographs of Allied tanks, including France's first and second tanks, the Schneider CA1 and Saint-Chamond and the U.K.'s Mark IX and Medium Mark C tanks.  The Mark IX was the first specialized armored personal carrier (APC).  Plus, there’s a sheet commemorating the birth of military flight, picturing aircraft flown by both Allied and Axis nations.
