Limited-Edition U.S. Mint Silver Dollar
Honors America’s 5-Star Generals
Only 2 Available

In 2013, the US Mint released this 90% silver dollar coin honoring two of America’s five great 5-star World War II Generals: George Marshall and Dwight Eisenhower.  The mint’s supply of this scarce coin sold out quickly.

George Marshall was the first American General to be promoted to five star rank.  As Army Chief of Staff, he organized the largest military expansion in US history.  Dwight Eisenhower was the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe during World War II.  He was elected President in 1952.

The reverse of the coin pictures the Leavenworth Lamp and the heraldic crest of Ft. Leavenworth, home of the US Army Command and General Staff College.  Both Marshall and Eisenhower graduated from the college, and Marshall was an instructor at the Infantry and Cavalry School. This coin was issued to mark the 132nd anniversary of the CGSC.

You’ll want to see this coin in-person to appreciate all the fine details.  It’ll make a great addition to your collection.
