Set of Five Martin Mörck Postcards, Boston 2026 World Stamp Exposition

This set of five postcards features artwork by Martin Mörck, widely regarded as one of the most accomplished stamp designers and engravers working today. A Norwegian-Swedish artist, Mörck has designed and engraved more than 1,000 different stamp subjects issued by 31 postal administrations worldwide. The five postcards showcase different details from his engraved interpretation of Emanuel Leutze's famous painting "Washington Crossing the Delaware" — rendered by Mörck in pen and ink in the style of classic intaglio engraving. Each postcard isolates a different portion of the composition, from Washington's commanding figure at the bow to the oarsmen battling the ice-choked river below. The Scott and Boston 2026 World Expo logos appear on each card, and Mörck's credit as Master Designer/Engraver is printed on the reverse.

The artwork was commissioned in connection with the 2026 Scott Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue, whose covers feature Mörck's Washington crossing the Delaware imagery as a tribute to America's 250th anniversary. The Boston 2026 World Expo — scheduled for May 23-30, 2026, at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center — is the 12th international philatelic exhibition held in the United States, an event that takes place only once a decade and draws collectors, dealers, and postal administrations from around the world.
