The American Women Quarters Program is a series from the U.S. Mint honoring women who made significant contributions to American history in various fields, including civil rights, politics, science, arts, and more.

The obverse design features a right-facing portrait of George Washington, designed by Laura Gardin Fraser (originally created in 1931 for the Washington quarter but not used at the time).

Each reverse design features a different woman with designs reflecting their achievements or legacy.
