Disney Celebrates the Year of the Dog

February 10, 1994 marked the start of the Year of the Dog in the Chinese Lunar Calendar.  To honor the event, Grenada issued this fun set of six stamps featuring scenes from the 1939 Disney Short, Society Dog Show.  In the short, Mickey enters Pluto in a ritzy dog show, only to be kicked out when Pluto attacks a judge.  However, Pluto later redeems himself when a fire breaks out and he comes to the rescue.  The cartoon was the last to feature Mickey with his old design (primarily  the full-black eyes).

These fun stamps feature different scenes from the short plus the Chinese characters for Year of the Dog.  A fun addition to your collection – order now.
