Lower-left corner has red and dark blue on white "R NEW YORK EXCHANGE" registration label along with black manuscript "Return receipt demanded" and "Germany Via Fastest Route." Reverse has magenta oval "BROOKLYN, N.Y. *REGISTERED*" hand-stamp along with black double line oval "NEW YORK REC'D (8) FOR'GN 2- 26 1909" and violet three line "R.O. MULLER ENGINEER BROOKLYN, N.Y." Scarce early usage of U.S. #337 paying a triple rate and short windowed registration fee.
