Now you can own a historic advertising cover mailed by the Star Union Brewing Company in November 1916.  This beer company was founded in Peru, Illinois, in 1845 by Fred Kaiser, survived Prohibition by switching to root beer, and was one of the largest breweries in the state by 1935.  While the company shut down in 1966, it had a lasting effect on the history of Peru, and artifacts from the old brewing plant (including secret underground tunnels) are still being discovered today.
