1898 5c dark blue Grant single used with July 10, 1902, San Francisco machine cancel on 5c Grant entire to Levuka, Fiji. The cover has an August 11th Suva, Fiji, transit & August 12th Levuka, Fiji, receiving backstamps. The 10c franking paid the double weight Universal Postal Union rate to this British Colony in the South Pacific Ocean. Levuka was Fiji's first capital until the British moved it to Suva. Levuka was also home to Fiji's first post office. A wonderful clean usage to this exotic South Pacific destination.
