Get Mint $2,500 Documentary Revenue Stamp – Mount and Album Page Included

Now you can own a Series of 1958 Documentary Revenue Stamp in mint condition.  This high-value stamp comes with the receipt tab still attached.  Each stamp has a unique serial number.  Revenue stamps are hard to find, but Mystic is happy to make them available to you.  And this stamp come with pre-cut mounts and an album page picturing the stamp.
Mystic was able to acquire these stamps in 2006, when the Smithsonian National Postal Museum sold surplus revenue stamps in a controversial move.  Museums seldom ‘deaccession’ their collection, but the Smithsonian made an exception. Many stamp collectors were excited for the opportunity to add rare and usual stamps to their collection.  And the stamps were in mint fresh condition.

Documentary stamps paid mortgage or deed taxes.  When Stock Transfer stamps were discontinued in 1952, Documentary stamps were then used to show tax had been paid on the transfer of stock certificates.  In 1958, the tax rate was 10¢ on each $100 of the value of the stock certificate.
Beginning in 1940, documentary stamps pictured former Secretaries of the US Treasury.  The $2,500 stamp features William Windom, who served in this position under Jame Garfield, Chester Arthur, and Benjamin Harrison.

We were delighted to buy these mint stamps in 2006 to offer to stamp collectors.  The $2,500 Documentary stamp with receipt is in mint, never hinged condition.  Start a new collecting adventure or add to your Revenue collection.  Place your order today.
